We are charged with protecting supported computers and networks from malicious computer attacks, service interruptions, and network harassment. As such, we work to:
- Secure, maintain, patch, and monitor supported hardware and software;
- Identify, contain and, when possible, prevent the propagation of malicious network traffic that impacts departmental and campus networks;
- Educate, consult with, and provide tools for supported units to assist them with protecting their information assets.
Additionally, we assist with ensuring that information-related laws, regulations, and policies are adhered to in a consistent manner.
