Position Title
Assistant Vice Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer, Administrative IT
Radhika Prabhu serves as chief operating officer for UC Davis Finance, Operations and Administration and as associate vice chancellor of Administrative Innovation and Technology, or Admin IT.
As COO, Prabhu oversees FOA’s operating budget and collaborates with divisional leaders to advance cross-cutting initiatives and business efficiencies.
In her leadership of Admin IT, Prabhu has unified nearly a dozen different information technology units into a single, cohesive IT unit with high customer satisfaction ratings. Her teams deliver technology services that not only support FOA teams, but also essential systems for all of UC Davis, UC Davis Health and UC Agriculture and Natural Resources. She also provides executive oversight for FOA services such as FOA Human Resources, FOA Communications and FOA Business Partners.
Prabhu has played a central role in major campuswide initiatives, including the implementation of UCPath (PeopleSoft) for both UC Davis and UC Davis Health; strategic planning and system selection for Aggie Enterprise (Oracle Cloud Financials); and selection of enterprise technology solutions for pandemic services (such as Point and Click EMR, the daily symptom survey, and lab software for UC Davis Genome Center’s asymptomatic testing).
Prabhu joined UC Davis in 2002 as a business process analyst and senior technology project manager, starting in Accounting and Financial Services. Her roles at UC Davis have steadily increased in leadership and responsibility, weaving together strengths in enterprise technology, business transformation and project management. She established UC Davis’ first project management office for strategic IT initiatives and has led numerous enterprise-wide technology contracts and negotiations. She has also attended the IT Leadership Academy at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
Prabhu holds multiple professional certifications:
- CISM: Certified Information Security Manager with ISACA (formerly the Information Systems Audit and Control Association).
- CRISC: Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls with ISACA.
- PMP: Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute.
Before her time at UC Davis, Prabhu worked as a web application developer and technical consultant in Texas. She holds two master’s degrees from Texas A&M University — in management information systems and in biology — and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Agricultural Sciences-Bangalore.
