Smartsheet
An online collaboration tool that can be used to:
- Collect information with easy to create forms
- Manage data, similar to a spreadsheet, with the ability to share data as needed
- Manage tasks and projects
- Automate processes, such as email notifications, approvals, data movement
- Provide reporting on an adhoc or regular basis
- Dashboards to provide real time information for all levels of the organization
- Permission based access, license may not be required for all use cases
Do I need a Smartsheet License?
- A non-licensed user can be shared with a workspace or asset without needed a license. This includes adding row data to sheets or accessing Dynamic Views.
- A licensed user is required to create new assets in a workspace or to adjust the structure of a sheet, including adding or updating columns.
Policies & Guidelines
- Campus users must utilize a single sign-on option via Microsoft sign on
- Smartsheet is approved for use up to P3 data. Please review the UCOP Guidelines for Data Classification.
- The campus has multiple instances of Smartsheet, please reach out to your IT unit to determine the appropriate instance for you.
