Lean Six Sigma methodology provides a structured approach to identify and eliminate inefficiencies, improve quality, and enhance overall performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within UC Davis.

Lean Six Sigma at UC Davis

At UC Davis, we're committed to constantly improving. We use Lean Six Sigma (LSS) to work together and enhance efficiency by eliminating waste in our processes. To empower our staff for excellence, we introduced the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt in January 2019. Over 1,000 employees have completed the training since then, and the number is growing.

With leadership support and in partnership with UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education, UC Davis expanded its Lean Six Sigma education by introducing the Green Belt program. Trained individuals actively address business process issues, providing action plans to improve processes, save money, and enhance university operations.
