Services

OBT offers three types of services to help units solve problems and facilitate process improvement projects.

We partner with units or individuals with various needs in order to identify areas for improvement, develop process documentation, perform data analysis, recommend and implement changes to a process, and build a framework to move people through change.

OBT consists of improvement projects and training programs dedicated to the service, people and financial stewardship of UC Davis.

Process Improvement

Our team partners with groups to identify, analyze and improve upon their existing business processes in order to meet new standards of quality and efficiency.

Change Management

We prepare, equip and support project teams to advance from their current state and successfully adopt change, ultimately driving organizational success.

Facilitation and Training

Our process and change consultants offer facilitation and training as requested.

Lean Six Sigma White Belt Training (virtual instructor-led)

Learn the foundations of Lean and Six Sigma and how the methodology is applied in higher education in this virtual instructor led training. This is an introductory course to Lean Six Sigma. Registration is available in UC Learning.

Value Stream Mapping for Improved Process Flow (virtual instructor-led)

Learn how to effectively map a high-level process, calculate the Cycle Time and Process Efficiency, and learn to identify inefficiencies within the process with the goal of reducing or eliminating them.
