Skip the Download: Use DocuSign Directly From Outlook or Box

If your usual DocuSign routine involves downloading a document, saving it somewhere, uploading it to DocuSign and then tracking down the signed copy later, there may be an easier way.

UC Davis staff with a DocuSign license can access DocuSign directly from Microsoft Outlook or Box.com. New instructions walk you through these shortcuts step by step.

What is Read.ai?
Read.ai is an AI assistant tool that can automatically join Zoom or Teams meetings. While it can be helpful for some people, it may also show up uninvited in sensitive or private meetings, raising privacy concerns.

Why Did It Join My Meeting?

Read.ai usually joins the meeting because:

FOA is moving to Zoom Phone – a service that lets you make and receive calls directly from your computer using your existing campus phone number. Starting on Nov. 13, 2024, most members of FOA will move to Zoom Phone, replacing traditional desk phones and Cisco Jabber with a more flexible, convenient option. 

Who’s Switching to Zoom Phone? 

1. Ensure the person initiating the connection is the owner of the Zoom meeting.
2. Start the Zoom meeting in the usual manner, How to Book a Zoom Room.
3. Open Microsoft Teams and start or join the Teams meeting.
4. In the Zoom meeting, click on Share Screen at the bottom of the Zoom window.
5. Select the Teams meeting from the list of available windows to share.

Option 1: Using iCloud (best and easiest option)

If you have iCloud set up to sync your contacts, you can easily transfer them to Outlook by syncing iCloud with Outlook on your computer.

Step 1: Check iPhone Settings

• Go to Settings on your iPhone.

• Tap [Your Name] at the top, then iCloud.

If you want to ensure that hyperlinks in your emails open in your system's default web browser directly from Microsoft Outlook, follow these steps:

Open Outlook Options:

• Launch Microsoft Outlook.
• Click on the File tab in the top-left corner of the Outlook window.

• Select Options from the list on the side of the screen to open the Outlook Options dialog box.

Navigate to Advanced Options:

You can schedule a meeting with a Zoom Room in Outlook. Booking the room adds a link to the Zoom Room controller to start the meeting. This also shows the room as busy for other users and they are not able to book the room for that time.
