Use Adapters for Projector Presentation

September 23, 2016
It seems that nowadays, as fast as you can say, “I just bought a new laptop”, computer technology has changed again.  New computers are faster, smarter, and smaller than ever, but often the devices we use them with are not as current.  One of the main struggles with the newer laptop is that it does not have a VGA plug (see below).  If you want to use your laptop for a presentation, but need an adapter to use the projector, you can visit the Safety Services Business Office and check out a VGA to HDMI adapter.

Play a Sound When You Press Caps Lock or Num Lock

September 23, 2016

Have you ever been typing a message to someone and suddenly EVERYTHING’S IN CAPS AND IT SEEMS LIKE YOU’RE YELLING AT THEM? Or have you used the numeric keypad to quickly input numbers, but instead the cursor jumps around the screen or changes to insert mode?

Book Shared Safety Services Resources

August 09, 2016
Calendars are a great tool for avoiding scheduling conflicts for the resources that Safety Services staff share, such as meeting rooms and automobiles. Helping manage each of these calendars is a calendar attendant, a virtual assistant that enforces rules about calendar appointments. The calendar attendant can only help avoid conflicts for events that it knows about, so here's a quick refresher how best to reserve Safety Services resources.
